Marina Kochetkova
I’m trained as a biochemist and have over 20 years’ experience in studying various aspects of cell transformation with the main emphasis on breast cancer. The focus of my research has been a discovery of aberrant molecular pathways leading to malignancy with the aim to target those for the development of novel cancer therapies. Large part of my research work has been devoted to the investigation of the role of chemokine receptors in the various aspects of the neoplastic transformation of mammary epithelium. Recently I have established an independent research program in the area of deciphering complex interplay between the tumour and its niche in breast cancer.
