Cecilia Chambers

Cecilia Chambers is a Ph.D. candidate at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in the Cancer Invasion and Metastasis group under Professor Paul Timpson. Cecilia recently submitted her Ph.D. thesis, where she utilised both mouse and human-derived models of Pancreatic Cancer to investigate the role Neuropeptide Y is playing in Pancreatic Cancer progression and development. Previously, she received her honours degree in enzyme engineering from the University of Otago in New Zealand before moving to London where she worked in a biopharmaceutical company specialising in antibody therapeutics. Following this, she worked as a research assistant at the Garvan Institute for just over a year before choosing to undertake her doctorate.
